Project Manager (Commercial Lending)

To assist with this mission, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our growing Commercial Lending Team. This role will ensure that projects are thoroughly analyzed, well planned, and properly executed. The Project Manager will oversee all commercial lending projects through the project development life cycle and will work closely with key stakeholders to define project scope, develop the plan, manage the project budget and drive to a successful completion. To succeed, you must have an understanding of all aspects of lending including the underwriting process, tools and technology, lending risks, and regulations.


  • Operate independently by creating and executing project plans
  • Lead every aspect of the project lifecycle from inception to closure, including scope definition, planning, communication, risk assessment, resources, and budget management
  • Reassess projects on a continued basis and revise as needed to ensure changing business needs are met
  • Manage the scope of the project to ensure project are completed timely and within budget
  • Understand the changing business needs and how it impacts the overall project and recommend solutions
  • Develop and maintain communication strategies useful in ensuring effective communication across the lending and commercial loan operations departments
  • Effectively communicate overall project status and risks to project members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Perform analysis of business processes to identify risk mitigation opportunities and critical control points.  Escalate risks and issues related to the project.
  • Prepare and deliver status presentations to management
  • Develop and maintain a project repository with project-related documents, sign-offs, and lessons learned
  • Assist with administration of lending policies, procedures, and controls


  • Understanding of credit risk management, commercial lending regulations, and underwriting processes
  • Experience with Salesforce and nCino is desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or other related fields is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years in commercial lending
  • Excellent project leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze practices de novo and gather insight as to why a particular practice is or is not sound
  • Ability to coordinate resources with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and adapt to changes in working environment required
  • Clear written and verbal communication required
  • PMP certification a plus
