SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:  The Learning & Development Specialist supports the execution of training programs that empower employees across the Retail Network and other bank functions. This hands-on role is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating learning experiences that enhance customer experience, branch controls & compliance, and sales capabilities. This individual will work closely with Retail leaders, L&D team members, and internal subject matter experts to drive knowledge transfer and skill development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Facilitate engaging, learner-focused training sessions for branch employees on systems, customer service, and compliance topics
  • Support onboarding for new retail banking staff, ensuring early confidence and capability
  • Conduct in-branch observations to assess training effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities
  • Create training materials, job aids, and e-learning modules with guidance from senior L&D staff
  • Track attendance, assess knowledge retention, and provide follow-up support where needed
  • Maintain and update LMS records; assist with course uploads, assignments, and completions
  • Contribute to data tracking and reporting (e.g., Power BI or Excel dashboards) to evaluate impact
  • Collaborate with teammates to support enterprise programs such as onboarding, compliance, and culture initiatives
  • Model a learner-first mindset and promote the use of digital learning resources
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of experience in a training, facilitation, or instructional support role
  • Ability to facilitate training in-person and virtually
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Forms)
  • Willingness to learn and grow as part of a dynamic L&D team
  • Attention to detail, time management, and a commitment to follow-through
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and instructional tools (BAI, Camtasia, Adobe, Articulate, Canva) is a plus
  • Experience in banking or customer-facing industries is a plus
